Young filmmaker Atlee who made name for himself in his very first film Raja Rani is celebrating his birthday today.
A former assistant of Shankar, he is now directing Vijay for his 59th film. Atlee is all thrilled as he is helming a Vijay film so early in his career.
Atlee was born on 21 September, 1986 in Madurai, Tamil Nadu to Vijay Kumar and Kalaiarasi. He had done Visual Communications at Sathyabama University but did not complete the course fully, choosing to enter film industry.
Atlee began his career as an assistant director in Enthiran under director Shankar and he continued to work with him in his next project Nanban which was a remake of 3 idiots.
