Information and Special Programme Implementation Minister K.T. Rajenthra Bhalaji today said action will be taken against cinema halls that collect more than the ticket fare fixed by the government.
Replying to CPI(M) legislator A. Soundararajan (Perambur) during the question hour, he said that display boards, with details about the fare, should be prominently installed in theatres as per rules.
‘District Collectors have been instructed to ensure this,’ he said, adding that if theatres are found violating the rules, people in districts can approach the Collectors and those in Chennai can complain to the Commissioner of Police.
