All roads lead to Nandanam YMCA Grounds on Saturday evening as maestro Ilaiyararja was felicitated for completing 1000 movies in cinema.
An unique aachievement indeed. Making the occasion special was the Tamil film industry as almost all stars, producers, directors and music composers thronged the venue in large numbers and were part of the celebrations.
Special among them was Kamal Haasan. he gave an exemplary speech about his bonding with Ilayaraja and their success story. Besides he tweeted a picture of him with the maestro from the venue.
He tweeted, ‘With my Isayin Raja. Elder brother SPB singing in front of us. Wow! Pride nostalgia pleasure. ‘
Music-lovers and ardent fans of Ilayaraja thronged the venue in large numbers and made the occasion special. Singers belted hit numbers from Ilaiyaraaja films and made it a special tribute to Ilaiyaraaja.
