After making his mark as shortfilm maker, Karthik Subbaraj made his presence felt with a super shows in big screen with Pizza and Jigarthanda, while his next Iraivi is ready for release.
Meanwhile, from his Stone Bench Creations he is coming up with anthology film written and directed by six directors such as Alphonse Putharen, Shameer Sultan, Mohit Mehra, Lokesh Kanagaraj and Guru Smaran.
Actors including Nivin Pauly, Bobby Simha and Arjunan Nandakumar have featured in the short films included in the anthology.
A confident Karthik Subbaraj, says, ‘It has been my desire to bring to light many talents. Alphonse Puthran worked with as editor in many shortfilms and no wonder he directed one for Aviyal’.
He says, ‘we are confident of audience appreciating our efforts. All the five films have dark comedy and a theatrical release would mean a platform created for shortfilm makers’.
My Iraivi is all complete and plans are on for release this April, he adds.
