Kanna Pinna will mark Thiya’s debut into Kollywood as director. The filmmaker won the best director award in the Naalaya Iyakkunar series.
Said to be a laughathon, the director is also playing the lead role in the flick. Anjali Rao of Vanmam fame will be his love interest.
‘The movie is about a boy from Trichy who is bent upon marrying a beautiful girl. His friends say he can find attractive girls only in Chennai and hence he sets out in search of someone. The experiences he undergoes forms the rest of the movie,’ says Thiya.
‘The story is based on real-life incidents that took place in my friend’s life,’ he adds.
The movie has music by Roshan Sethuraman and shooting for the movie is almost complete.
