Wagah that is releasing on 12 August has its own pride. The makers of the movie boost that it is one of the few movies to have been shot in Kashmir, after Roja.
Starring Vikram Prabhu, the movie is directed by G N R Kumaravel. Ranya Raa is the heroine. Music is by D Imman.
The story revolves around a BSF jawan played by Vikaram Prabhu, from a small village who gets posted along the border. The movie is produced by M Balavishwaanathan. Tulasi, Karunaas and Ajay Rathnam play key roles.
Says Kumaravel, ‘After Roja, Wagah is the only Tamil film to be shot completely in Kashmir. The beautiful landscape of the place has been captured well in the movie. When we were shooting for the movie near a lake in Kashmir, we heard gun shots nearby. Still we continued to shoot. It was a thrilling moment’.
Wagah has been given a U certificate.
