Kamal Haasan has once again thanked his fans. The actor was conferred with the French Government’s prestigious Chevalier award de L’Ordre Arts et Letters (The Knight of the Order Arts and Letters).
He said, ‘Indian scholars have received 2 Chevaliers and don’t advertise it. Between humility & fame silly me chose latter. Thank you friends and fans.’
Wishes and praises have been pouring in from all quarters with several film personalities personally greeting the actor on his achievement.
However the actor is not the first to have been conferred with this prestigious award. Legendary Tamil actor Sivaji Ganesan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai and Shahrukh Khan are some of the other Indian recipients of Chevalier award.
