Director Vijay Chander who has began shooting for his upcoming movie is said to have roped in a veteran actress Ambika to play a key role in the flick.
However, sources close to the actor has announced that this is no true and she has not been approached for the role.
Starring Vikram in the lead, RK Suresh will be playing the antagonist in Vikram 54 that is set in North Chennai.
A huge set has been erected in Binny Mills at Meenambakkam for the purpose. Vikram will don the role of a gangster and the movie will be set in north Chennai.
It will be produced by Silverline Film Factory banner. Tamannaah will play his lady love.
The rest of the cast include, Soori, RK Suresh, Radharavi and Ravi Kishan in key roles. Music will be by S Thaman. Cinematography will be Sukumar, editing will be handled by Ruben.
Sources say the team is planning to wrap up the entire movie in a single schedule.
