With just some patch work and a song left to be shot, director Shankar has called it a day with 2.0.
The movie which has been in the making since 2015 is all set for release this Deepavali.
This is Shankar’s big budget flick. The movie which was initially set to be made at 350 crore is now being made at 450 crore.
Posting a picture with his team Shankar wrote on his twitter page, ‘With my team after finishing a major scene of #2.0 . One song and some patch works are only the balance.’
The movie was shot in several location in India. Much recently makers erected a set at a cost of Rs 20 crore near Poonamallee in Chennai.
Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, 2.0 has Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Shajon, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain in key roles.
Music is by AR Rahman. Cinematography is by Nirav Shah. Most of the shooting portion is over and the director has simultanously been working on the post-production too.
The film will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
