Sivakarthikeyan after a few outing as comical heroes takes the rom-com route. In a nutshell, the movie is about a hero in disguise who tries to win the heart of his lover, who is engaged already.
Directed by Bhakkiyaraj Kannan, it is a Sivakarthikeyan show all the way and the performer in him is out in Remo.
SK (Sivakarthikeyan), wants to become a hero and goes for K S ravikumar’s audition, where he is informed that the director is planning Avvai Shanmugi 2. He now turns as a nurse (Remo) to impress Ravikumar but meets Kavya (Keerthy Suresh), a doctor, he falls for her instantly. But shocks await him when he comes to now that she is already engaged. And he does not give up. As a young nurse, he gets to work in her hospital and the rest is all but how he tries to woo her towards SK.
Sivakarthikeyan expresses variations in his eyes and his body language is awesome and suits the role well. He does get a chance to do two dimension – a cute nurse and a lovelorn aspiring actor. There are elements in his roles that aims at winning the heart of children, women and youngsters.
Keerthy Suresh does her character with poise. Sathish, Nan Kadavul Rajendran and Yogi Babu evoke laughter with their one-liners.
P C Sreeram’s camera is the real strength and his lens captures romance bright and beautiful.
Anirudh’s songs and background score are apt for the story.
Unfortunately it is a wafer-thin storyline. Had Sivakarkarthikeyan concentrated more on the script the same way that he showed on the female get-up, the end product could have been different.
The romance in the second half is mere cliche. Bhakkiyaraj Kannan should have concentrated more on the screenplay and made it racy.
But, Remo is full of romantic with pleasant look for your eyes.
