Karthik Subbaraj in soup

Karthik Subbaraj’s Iraivi is making waves in the cinemas. However, the director of the movie is facing issues from the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) members.

The TFPC, has alleged that in Iraivi, Karthik has depicted a character, a film producer, as the root cause of a film stuck in the cans.

Now a section within TFPC wants action to be taken against Karthik Subbaraj by the Directors’ council. The team has approached the latter, and has requested them to look into this issue and give a clarification.

Meanwhile, one of the presenters of Iraivi , producer KE Gnanavelraja, felt irked about the whole issue.

He had released a Whatsapp audio, which says that he deeply regret his association with Iraivi. ‘Unlike others, Karthik Subbaraj doesn’t know the pain of becoming a director as he never worked as an assistant to anyone.

CV Kumar has introduced Karthik in Pizza and now with Iraivi, the director has not only overshot the budget and put the producer in an insecure state.’

Gnanavelraja says that Karthik Subbaraj had promised them to complete Iraivi in 7.5 crore but the film ended up in 13.5 crore.

Gnanavel also concludes that he will stand with Kollywood producers and will cooperate for necessary action, which will be soon taken against the erring director.
