Veteran filmmaker AC Thirulokachander (86) passed away in Chennai due to age-related illness today.
He is survived by a son and a daughter. His younger son passed away a couple of days ago.
Thirulokachander was admitted to a private hospital after he complained of ill health recently.
He directed 70 films including Deiva Magana, Engirundho Vandhal, Anbee Va, Babu, Badhrakali, Adhae Kangal, Iru Malargal, Ramu among others.
He floated a production house called Cine Bharath and produced nine films.
