Stories about a hero rising from rages to riches have always been only in fairy tale. Enakku Innoru Per Irukku (EIPI) is one such movie in that genre, but told in a comical way. Written and directed by Sam Anton, the movie has G V Prakas and Anandhi playing the lead. This Tamil action-comedy film has Karunas, Mottai Rajendran, Saravanan, VTV Ganesh and Yogi Babu in supporting cast. Set in the backdrop of Royapuram. The area is under the control of Naina (Saravanan). In his quest for power, he earned the enmity of Durai, who wants to get ride of him. Naina witnesses the first attack from Durai. Fearing for his people, he asks his guys to find out an intrepid youngster as his successor. He also want that guy to marry his daughter Hema (Anandhi). Here is where enters Johnny (GV Prakash). A timid guy, he has blood phobia and faints at the sight of it. He is mistaken as a fearless youngster by Naina's gang. They recommend him as the successor to their leader. To Johnny's delight, this becomes an opportunity for him to marry the love of his life, Hema. He has been for sometime trying to get the right time to propose to her. On the wedding day, Durai manages to kill all the important allies of Naina. By doing this he attains the powerful throne of Naina. This puts Johnny in the limelight. The rest of the movie is how he overcomes his phobia and fights Durai. GV Prakash looks a kid in stunt scenes. Should develop skills to play matured roles. He seems to have rolemodelled his mannerisms like Dhanush. Anandhi as Hema is a darling in her look, but there is no scope for her acting talent. Yogi Babu only have managed to add more entertainment to the whole show. Saravanan, Karunaas, VTV Ganesh, Naan Kadavul Rajendiran characters are not impressive. No logic and brainless at places. A spoof of Tamil cinema which is not new. The comedy at places flat. No new attempt made to entertain masses as they take cliched route. As a music director GV Prakash used two old hits for the songs. He puts extra efforts especially for his scenes in the background score. Anton in concentrating on comedy lost out on screenplay. Charactersation is weak adding no strength to the story. Double meaning dialogues unnecessarily inserted in many places.
