Filmmaker Radhamohan has opted to do a movie on movie and he has managed to render a hilarious entertainer that strikes audience straightaway.
Three cheers to the whole team for narrating the travails and emotions of aspiring filmmakers in a fun-filled and entertaining way.
Huge applause to Radha Mohan's co-director Pon Bharathi, who dialogues make the movie big.
The simple one-liners and comedy dialogues besides emotional overtones by Pon Bharathi deserve an applause. Steve Watts music and Mahesh Muthusamy camera work elevates the film. Radha Mohan may have seen a downfall in his last Gowravam, but he is back to his best with Uppukaruvadu.
Karunakaran, Nandita, M S Baskar, Narayan Lucky, Sathish, Chaams, Kumaravel, Mayilsamy, among others play the lead roles.
The mov9e is about Karunakaran, a filmmaker who had a flop and his next didnt take off. He along with his assistants Chaams and Narayanan chase a dream.
Producer M S Baskar, who is a local chieftain of a fishermen community gives them an opportunity to do a film but wants his daughter (Nandita) as heroine. Now begins problems for Karunakaran in executing his ambition. The travails that he is forced to cross forms the crux.
Karunakaran does a restrained show. He is natura in comical scenes. Mayilsamy and M S Baskar steals the show while the cast including Chaams, Narayanan, Kumaravelu does a dd strength.
Laurels should be heaped on Nandita for accepting such a role and she does full justice to it.
