Bangalore Naatkal - Review

05 Feb 2016
Much recently Malayalam movies remade in Tamil have made it big. They have a story and emotional bonding which woos Tamil audience big way. Bangalore Naatakal is the latest in the list. The original directed by Anjali Menon, has been recreated in a perfect manner. Directed by Bomarillu Baskar, the movie stars Arya, Bobby Simha, Rana, Parvathy and Sridivya in key roles. Cousins and their bonding make up the film. It revolves around Divya (Sridivya), Arjun (Arya) and Kutty (Bobby Simha). Arjun is a fun-loving fellow hatred by all in the family, Kannan is a software techie. They have a great bonding between them. Divya is married to Prasad (Rana Daggubati) and goes to stay in Bangalore. Interestingly Arjun and Kannan come to Bangalore to recreate their childhood days with her. The rest of the story is all but his the four get along and what challenges they face. Three cheers to Baskar for sticking to the script. He makes no big changes and ensures the movie speaks for itself. Arya and Bobby Simha chip in well. Both relish playing their roles, while Rana and Parvathy as Arya's lover does a good job. But the scene-stealer is Sridivya. All credit to the perfect characterisation and wonderful technical crew. With Gopi Sundar's music adding weight to the script, the movie ends a breezy tale. On the whole, it is a family fare worth a watch. Bangalore Naatkal - Family bonding
