Kamalhaasan, Sruthihaasan face off

Father and daughter duo Kamalhassan and Sruthihassan are to have their movies released on the same date. Kamal's Thoongavanam and Sruthi-Ajith starrer Vedalam will hit the screens for Deepavali ( 10 November). Thoongavanam is an action-packed veture and was certifed with U/A certificate. Produced by Rajkamal Films Internationals, the movie has Prakashraj, Trisha, Kishore, Yuhi Sethu among others in the cast. Music is by Ghibran. Kamal Haasan's assistant Rajesh helms the affair. Vedalam brings together Ajith and Sruthi Haasan for the first time. Siva of Veeram and Siruthai fame has directed the film, which also has Lakshmi Menon essaying the role of Ajith’s sister while Shruthi is playing the actor’s romantic interest.
