Kaaval - Review

C.V. Nagendran's Kaaval is a tribute to honest cops. It speaks about their travails and turbulations to maintain order in the society. Samuthirakani plays a tough cop on a mission. Vimal as a lovable youth and producer Punnagi Poo Geetha as heroine. The movie boasts of huge cast including M S Baskar, Imman Annachi among others. Music by G V Prakash. Kaaval revolves around Samuthirakani who comes a police officer to city with a mission - to kill a contract killer. He faces hurdles. There is Vimal and his friends. They get into trouble and forces leaves them to run for cover to Ooty. Samuthirakani steps in not only to save them but also kills the baddies. Samuthirakani os good and so is Vimal. The dialogues are racy. BUt the screenplay lags and ameanders at places. Nagendran has captured action scenes well. All. said, Kaaval is a cop story told convincingly.
