Actor-filmmaker Samuthirakani who was last seen in Achamindri is directing his next. Titled Thondan, he has completed the shooting for its first schedule. He is soon to start working on his next with Dhanush in VIP 2. Says Samuthirakani, 'Thondan first schedule over. Nalai muthal VIP2. Velvomm.' Thondan is an action drama flick that is written and directed by Samuthirakani himself. The movie features Vikranth in the lead role. Samuthirakani is also playing a pivotal role in it. Music is by Justin Prabhakaran. Samuthirakani plays an ambulance driver in the film, while Vikranth plays an ambulance attendant. The film is set against the backdrop of a small-town and concentrates on the lives of four major characters.
