Khushbu to contest in Producers' Coucil election

Actress, TV presenter, producer and politician Khushbu will soon be contesting in the upcoming president's post for the Producers' Council election. She confirmed her participation in the micro-blog. 'I thank @VishalKOfficial and team for trusting me with such huge responsibility. I will be contesting for the Presidential post of #Producerscouncil. I have faith in @VishalKOfficial and his team to take good work forward and am more than glad to stand with them. We will make a difference,' she wrote. The president now is Kalaipuli S Thanu. With the tenure of current office bearers of Producers Council coming to an end, the election for the new office bearers will be held on 5 February. Already, T Rajendar has formed a team with AM Ratnam, Alagappan and S V Shekar. Now actress and producer Khushbu Sundar has said that she will be contesting as a presidential candidate for a new team formed by Vishal. It may be recalled that the previous Producers Council had suspended Vishal for his open criticism on their lethargic attitude in curbing piracy. Taking this as a challenge, Khushbu added, 'Life is all about swimming against the tide and winning. We as a team will work hard, sincerely and with utmost honesty, to bring in the change.'
